New Search feature on LandNow makes finding land easy

Updated: 2 days ago

Exciting new developments to the LandNow platform now make it easier than ever to find the perfect block of land.

LandNow has recently added a new Search bar feature that draws inspiration from the major real estate platforms to make it easy to find lots by searching by suburb or estate.

The chief technology officer of LandNow, Peter Joseph, said the new Search bar was the result of extensive consultation with the industry and users of the platform.

“We spent a lot of time analysing the search behaviour of current users to discover that builders prefer being able to search by estate and like to see the information supplied in a grid style,” Peter said.

The new functionality is in addition to the superior and interactive lot mapping features of LandNow that allows builders to dive deep into estates, streets and even individual lots to see suitability and availability.

“We’re really proud of our state-of-the-art mapping at LandNow which is powered by real-time inventory from developers,” said Peter.

“It means that if the block is showing on LandNow that its available or on hold, that information can be trusted. But we could also see that users wanted to search by other methods that were more familiar so the new Search bar is a great addition to the platform that is also increasing usage.

Other new features launching soon in LandNow include the ability for a block of land to receive multiple hold offers. When this occurs, the developer will be able to review the hold and decide which to accept. This allows developers to support long-term relationships with specific builders.

“Really good technology should enhance and improve how we work and build relationships, by recognising what people currently do and finding new digital ways to support good behaviour and make the timeframe for success faster,” Peter said.

“We’ve been really excited and encouraged by the feedback from users and are committed to making LandNow the most powerful and effective land marketplace in the country.”

With the Perth property market on fire throughout most of 2024, land has been selling quickly across every channel, but the time is right for technology to introduce transparency and efficiency into how the industry searches and buys land, Peter said.

“With 90% of builders in Western Australia now using LandNow, the takeup shows how ready the building industry is to embrace technology that saves them time and makes their jobs more efficient,” Peter said.

“The industry has been phoning each other for decades, going to multiple websites and sending PDFs with lists of stock that are usually out of date the minute the email is sent. In 2025, that’s kind of crazy.

“At LandNow, we believe finding land should be simple and centralised, and find information that is accurate and our latest updates are an important part of this mission.”
